An Amazing Week at the LA International

Congratulations to everyone at Elvenstar – what a great showing you all had at the LA International.

Taylor Harris and Miss Magic: USEF Talent Search Finals
With minimal practice due to her studies up at Berkeley, Taylor and MM secured an impressive 4th place overall. After a flat phase, gymnastic phase and a jumping phase, making the Final Four is tremendous. What an amazing experience.

Taylor Harris and Lady Godiva: A great job getting to know this new horse – this was her first time riding and showing LG. Clearly these two will be an amazing team, the quality is definitely there.

Taylor Harris and Poker: Another new mount that Taylor hadn’t ridden before. An exciting prospect for the Grand Prix ring!

Kira Zelman and VIndoctro:
Kira was champion in the Eq. 12-13 division – she won all three classes. In the medal classes Kira won the PCHA Horsemanship Medal, was 2nd in the THIS Children’s and 6th in the ASPCA Horsemanship. She also earned a very respectable 7th in the USEF Hunt Seat Regional Finals Round 1.

Kira Zelman and Vieret: In the Low Children’s Jumpers, this pair was 1st, 3rd, and then 4th in the Classic.

Kristen Buckingham and Hamilton: Won great ribbons in the Low Adults Hunters – a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and two 8th’s. Well done!

Leelee Buckingham and Chance To Shine: Champion in the Eq 11 and under division and won the CPHA Horsemanship Medal.

Stella Buckingham and Princess & The Pea: Had a great week, both the Short Stirrup and Children’s Pony Hunters were huge divisions! She earned in a 2nd, three 5th’s, and two 4th’s.

Malina Munshi and Nick Nack: Malina is back in the saddle and really did a great job. She placed 3rd, 4th, and 7th in the Low Children’s Jumpers.

Cami Pease and Vibrant: A new member of the Elvenstar family, in her first show with us she competed in her first USET Talent Search Finals! Her goal was to make it around the difficult courses. She ended up 13th out of 40 riders. Fantastic!

Morgan Geller and Vitoria: Coming off a great win last week at the Maclay Regionals, Morgan only rode Jeni Brown’s Vitoria, two times before competing. They both performed well considering and finished a solid 14th.

Custis Ferguson and Special Edition: His name says it all! This was his first show, and at only 4 years old, he stole the show, winning both rounds on the last day. He was Champion in the Baby Green Hunters!
